This Flat Lens, built in heavy duty Makrolon plastic, fits to the GoPro Hero HD camera case (HD2, HD or 960). The clear flat lens will give you a better image quality underwater. See the possible footage on the video below.
Light needs to go from the water into a flat lens instead of a curved one. This lens will replace the original dome lens of the GoPro Hero HD, and includes a special colour correction filter for underwater. It is not fixed to the flat lens, so you can easily use the camera with the clear lens or the filter. The result is a brilliant focused image. An easy to use focus fix for the GoPro Hero HD. Does your GoPro distort images like a fish eye? This lens allows you to have a flat image without distortion. In addition, the filter corrects the colour quality in deep water or under difficult lighting conditions. Thus the result is a much better quality image for underwater shooting.
Usage
Please replace the lens very carefully, as we do not accept any warranty for a replacement lens. Housings must be tested for waterproofing (minus the camera) prior to full use. Please notice that the filter cannot be removed during the dive. It should only take a few minutes to unscrew the dome lens and replace it with this lens.
